Data Collection
Data collection can involve gathering information beyond the user's name, email, and age. You can collect any information you prefer, such as favorite color, preferred competitor, favorite AI copilot, and more. All collected data is organized in a searchable, sortable table that makes it easy to review, filter, and export user information.
The Data Collection tab only appears when the Data Collection feature is enabled in your Copilot settings. Configure which information to collect in the Data Collection settings.
Overview
The Data Collection interface provides:
- Centralized Data View: All user-submitted information in one organized table
- Total Entries Count: Quick overview of how many users have provided information
- Advanced Filtering: Filter data by date range to find specific entries
- Export Functionality: Download collected data as CSV files for analysis
- Sortable Columns: Organize data by any column for easier review
- Pagination: Navigate through large datasets efficiently
All columns are sortable by clicking the column headers, allowing you to organize data alphabetically or chronologically.
Filtering and Export
Date Range Filter
Use the date range filter to view data collected within a specific time period:
- Quick Filters: Select predefined ranges like "Last 30 days" from the dropdown
- Custom Date Range: Use the date picker to select a custom start and end date
- Apply Filters: The table automatically updates to show only entries within the selected date range
Export to CSV
Export your collected data for external analysis or record-keeping:
- Apply Filters (optional): Filter the data to export only the entries you need
- Click Export: Click the "Export to CSV" button
- Download: The CSV file downloads with all visible data, including all columns and filtered results
The exported CSV file includes all columns from the table and can be opened in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet application for further analysis.
